A sound example with deep color, crisp image, and overall clean appearance. A notable identifying mark is the break in the horizontal lines directly under the Davis portrait which appears in 57 positions on the printing plate. Plus Mini sheets (73 sets) from 1989 to 1998 (a few are mounted in the album, but most are not and are still in their cellophane envelopes. There is so much potential with these two well filled Imperial albums!Within are useful sections including GB (with some lovely penny red with number in Maltese Crosses), Egypt, Hong Kong, India & States, New Zealand, Rhodesia etc.However, the albums need careful viewing, checking and sorting. Indeed, the album can be considered the equivalent of a stockbook, with many spaces being used to house duplicate values, and varieties such as colours, perfs etc. I do expect that many original spaces have been filled correctly, but given the haphazard nature as to how the pages have been filled, I cannot confirm to what extent. Many country spaces have also been used to house other country stamps....it really is going to be a project for someone Although there is already good value here, there is so much potential. Nothing is catalogued so some careful checking and sotring is needed but there could be some super finds to be had, including watermark errors, scarce perf varieties and so on.There are possibly a few hinge remains but everything looks to be original and unpicked.All in all, a big project, but an exciting one!Please note that I do not have time to check any large lots in any detail so please recognise that you are bidding on this basis and satisfy yourself with what you have viewed before placing your bid.
